I sure like that Barred Chartreuse hackle feather! Mind telling me where you got it? I tried to get some from Barlow's but they were out of stock, which cost me an extra $2 "Small Order" fee! GRRR!!

I know you are a recent convert to jig tying. I also know you have a limited budget to spend doing this (who doesn't?).Your doing a good job. May I suggest you do what I and many others did when we started. Use finger nail polish to color your heads. Ask your mom if she has some she don't use anymore. After you add the eyes you cover the head with epoxy. I still have a few bottles of nail polish I use because I haven't found a powder paint I like in that color.

Hey ridge, i coat the eyes with sally hansen. I dont use NP because i heard somewhere that fish can smell it. Also for some reson i like unpainted heads. i know, call me crazy.
