Out here...
Some colors just don't show the glitter well. You may have to mix the glitter in the clear and top coat...

Yeah I tried to cheat on a couple and re-heated some heads and dipped them. The new penny with the orange dip and green and purple dip are becoming favorites.

The Jacquard Pearl Ex ones I expexted more but I tried to mix em up with the mix ration Attica gave me. I have alot more playing to do with those

You keep posting the new penny and i keep getting closer to needing to order some. Looks like the Turq. Pearl has a color shift quality to it.... could make a nice junebug. Also looks like a very fine ground powder similar to the stuff they use in makeup. Hope you get it to where you like it, looks like it has potential.

Hey Doug

All those look like money to me!

Sorry for late help. I've only used a few of em. Macro, I mixed a 1/4 Tspn to 1 Tspn of clear. Tapped all of that on sections like so on the right ones

It's got a lot of pearl pigment involved,so expect more of a white along with your mica shine. It works well for my go to jigs though.

Can't really go wrong with that ratio and work up or downwards for more or less.

They all look pretty good FM but my favorite is the new penny with the orange iridescent, that is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to ask about the brand and the ratio of that mix as I really need to duplicate it, excellent work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure it has to do with my slow paint style, but i honestly prefer to tap on any color or glitter even if i am doing a solid color..... very seldom do i 'dip' a hot head into the jar. Just feel like i have more control - especially when using glitter - since you can see how much actually sticks as you tap and you know if it is too hot or not.

With the mica/clear mix i use, can solid coat a color and then go back and very (very) very lightly tap/dust the mica on by tapping your brush several inches (8"-12") above the hot head and letting the dust float down and just settle on the jig --- another reason why my hooks are always wrapped with foil and have to keep away from any drafts or air flow --- gloss black turns into a metallic looking black this way but can be done with any color. Can't always see the effect it makes completely until it is out in the sunlight or under bright light.

Lost and Attica thanks for the info - could be I have too much clear mixed in!!!

SJ - New Penny is a ProTec color. I dip the head then heat a bit more and dip in a mix of clear and irredescent orange glitter, I had to play with it a little till I hit on the right ratio. Since I first did this mix I've really liked it!!!!!!!!!!!
