Well I have to admit I thought about keeping this to myself until I got my molds. But the cats been let out of the bag so I figured some of ya would be interested. Rick over at Jacobs Baits , who is known for making injection molds primarily for panfish, is getting into LEAD molds. He's starting out with just the round head molds. The mold will have 5 cavities without a collar and 5 cavities with a barb collar. He says molds will take up to a 1/0 hook. Best thing is he's doing a 1/24th head. Did I mention its only $50. Heckuva deal if ya ask me!

Nice pouring gates - look like a smaller break scar than Do-its. Are those eye sockets on the no collars?

Lookit Fatman, if you're around, those are the extended oval hook eye slots you've been requesting from Do-it.

Post up on how those barbs pour when ya get your molds . Hope they pour out if you get some hard lead. Getting to be a real pain to find good lead these days without paying an arm and a leg . Like those Delrin handles too . they got a little give in them . Won't make your hands get as tired . My hands cramp so bad sometimes Can't pick a booger .

Was looking over his website recently - nice plastic injection stuff, but saw no lead pouring molds marketed.

Nice production quality by cutting the mold on both sides

I really love that design but as TF and JSC have mentioned, you have a batch of hard lead you may have a problem with it filling out, I know as I had old Do-it molds that I had to ream out the gates to get consistently good pours. Needle file makes short work of big sprue marks but if it has good vents and pours great then I'm in as there is going to be very little touch up with that gate, man they sure do look nice and that price is insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rick said that there may be issues of collar filling completely when using the 1/0 and #1 hook on the smaller heads. To me This is expected. I have the same issue on do it molds of comparable size with large hooks. Injecting the lead helps a lot. As far as the gates... They should be perfect!

I just got my first mold from the guy a 1/24 oz round head. As stated by others here the quality is out of sight.
Only trouble is my Do-It molds look like junk now.

Those do look like quality molds. See if he can do a craw tail or a wobble head, or something like that. i bookmarked his website, and going to have to keep checking to find "new" style head.

I've requested Steve cut a mold that would produce 5 1/16oz & 5 1/8oz jigs all collarless. Would any of you be interested in this configuration?
