Messing around with some new Craft fur.

I'm liking the results

1/2 oz Ultra Minnow

1/2 oz Ultra Minnow
all on a #1 Matzo hook
I cut zonkers out of the fur then palmered it on with a palmered neck hackle. I really like the two tone craft fur, I can't wait for my buddy to get back with me on a test run.

Not Darice unless there are kick off brands, the pile texture is even different. I found this at wholesaler and decided to try some out it. I'll drop some in the next material swap if we do it here again, defiantly in the other you are doing. What I really like about it is some of what I bought are two tones colors, like gray with white tips. The two tones add a lot of 3d depth to the jig. I have 30 more samples on the way for testing hair lengths from 1 - 2 1/2 inches. I'm curious as to how the material backing holds up in the water. It's all 100% acrylic just wondering when doing a jig/fly in a zonker strip if it will last, shrink, or swell. I've been trying to find a rabbit like synthetic to market for sometime now and I think I getting close. Hopefully I can get a test in the bathtub this evening to see how the hair does. Unfortunately my never ending day job is getting in the way of things this weekend. One of these days I'm going to permanently hang my hammer on the wall and put a do not touch sign on it!
Here is a better look at the 2 tone

It shouldn't be much different than regular zonker strips - the hide absorbs water then shrinks when drying so you'd think it would crack at some point and fall apart. I have some that I've used all summer long and no problems. Being 100% acrylic I don't think you'll have any problems Q.
