If we could get jig hooks like this I think it would give a person some more pattern options. The Shrimp I posted would look good on the LiLNasty as it has a good hump in the bend like a shrimp and the bend would follow the tail down. Just brainstorming, what do you think?

Personally I prefer hook point riding upright away from bottom snags.

Wow, didn't realize SOME hooks had soft enuf wire to be twisted that much !

A bit of heat works wonders, just gotta be careful not to go overboard and make the hooks brittle

On the EC Nasty I just took two pliers and gave it a twist. It mostly twisted along the straight shank section. The Mustad I heated it cherry and twisted it but now it's like butter. Haven't tried re-tempering it yet just to see if I can get it back to it's firm state without being brittle. Just thought I'd give it a try. They would probably work ok on lighter fish under a float but like Hawn said it would probably be a snaggy mess on the bottom. Those jig head molds that use a straight shank/eye hook could probably be molded either way and achieve the same affect. Just looks kinda funky doesn't it?
