Tied a "quad" version of the leather bug that I'd posted previously. This one has 4 swimmerets (legs) per side.

I've learned to use only quartered lace with grainy, shiny outer hide. Without this, the leather breaks apart easily and you'll lose your legs and antennae eventually.

Here's a jig that I think I'm going to like a lot if my intuition serves me well. It's a simple 1/8-oz. ball head jig with a 2/0 Gamakatsu hook tied to mimic a curly-tailed soft plastic grub.

Its looks above the water are promising.

I want to field test this bait in the very near future. Currently, I can't and it's tough to wait to do so! :)

That grub is so cool! Make one with the curl facing the other way and tell me which you prefer!
Incredible work by ole Pup once again!

Thank you for your kind words RD. :)

I'll tie one with its tail facing up and give it a try too. Then, compare both to see which grub has the better action when it comes to leather. :icon14:

Pup your as bad as I am . I bet you dream making tackle . When I get on the computer my wife tells people I'm looking at fishing tackle porn . A girl in bass pro walked right past me in what my wife says was a really skimpy out fit . I heard her laughing after I pulled my head out of the tying stuff I said " what's up ". She says your the only guy I know who would not have blinked when that girl walked by (pointing down the isle) at the same time . I looked she was cute . then promptly stuck my nose back in the tying stuff . That made matters worse . She says man on on a mission . I love you but your one sick little man . HA HA HA !!.
Keep up the good work that stuff is great . When you get to my point seek help .

Thank you all for your comments. :)

I really enjoy this hobby and sharing my work with everyone here at JigCraft. You all seem so passionate about jig making/tying and are tremendously skilled. This is a good great place to be. :icon14: :icon14:

Now, if only I could just get away to field test these jigs. ;)

I really like the grub. One of my staple in chasing bass - and a bait I'm typically deadly with when the bass want them.

I can see adding a bunch of scent to the 'head' (chenile, right?)

Thanks HU. :)

The body is wrapped to the head with Lion Suede which is a discontinued fashion chenille yarn.
