hey guys im new to pouring lead and wanting to get into it so I can make my own jigheads to go along with my plastic baits I make.

I was wondering what you guys think is better for pouring smaller jigs like 1/64oz and 1/32oz jigheads. the lee production pot with bottom feed nozzle or a regular lee pot with a ladel?

also I was wondering if anyone can tell me where to look and buy some CLEAN lead. not lead made from wheel weights etc.

thanks for your time and helping me with all the questions

Dunno if I'm doing something wrong, but I've never been able to pour 1/32 & smaller with my pot & ladle even with very soft lead.

I have not tried ladeling, years ago was casting 148 grain FWC bullets and ladelling and pour worked but not well, Bought a Lee IV bottom pour furnace and no issues. Keep your metal clean, flux several times at inital melt, keep mold hot, powder the cavities with baby powder, clean off excess and pour, If that does not help, I dont know what to tell you other than get a bottom pour furnace
