Got hold of some Mica Powder and hope to get some jigs painted for a friend. Still figuring out how i can use it. So far, i have just mixed it very sparingly with clear (30:1) and have been lightly taping it on. It is so fine - it can fill in quickly and you loose the base color even at a 30:1 mix. I does have a slight pearl color effect as the light glints off it.
Plain ol' black with the clear/mica tapped on after..... the one on the right in both these pics has just a hair of regular silver holo. tapped on too for some glitter size variation:
This pic has one more black base with xtra mica tappe on the lower half. Others have the entire head tapped with the clear/mica mix then tapped (at a distance) with some translucent powder on the top.
Last picture..... Left jig has black (lightly) taped on top, cler/chart glitter tapped over everything then translucent copper on top. Right was covered in clear/mica first, light tap of silver holo glitter, tap of black on top side then the trans. green.
All of them of course look much better in hand than in the pics. :-/ The mica is not going to be an absloute fish magnet, but it make a very cool pearly looking silver flake. And a very tiny pinch sure goes a LONG way!
