Want to make up a black with neon blue flake in it. Want it like a clear but touch of black. Would a ratio of 3 parts clear and just a dash of black work for this??? I've seen some others who've done it and hope they'll chime in here.

I think maybe you are talking about smoke . Use a very tiny amount of black in your clear and a pinch of black and blue .040 glitter .

Opaque or transparent? Are you trying to let another color show through or trying to just darken the dorsal side of something?

- Opaque is easy.... dip in black then top coat with blue giltter/clear mix.

- Transparent gets tricky with certain colors. The actual grain size of certain color powder can been seen and gives the pixelated look sometimes.

I have made a transparent blue colored powder that had a few different glitter colors in it - tryin to match the Kalins Northern Bluegill color. The base that i started with was 15 parts clear to 1 part blue.
