Hi,

I bought myself a disco-ball motor and a foam wheel to make a bigger version of what fly tyers use to hang their epoxied streamers to cure.

Problem is I could only get relatively soft foam. The jigs, expecially the heavyer ones, dangle about and spoil the wet coating.

Any ideas for a more stable way of fixing jigs to a wheel like that?

Is there any way you can mount the motor with the wheel down? Maybe come off the wall with a brace and attach the motor to the under side. Just a thought.

the wheel needs to be vertical, to keep the glue from running into the material or build up noses. That´s the whole point of this thing.

Mount some alligator clips...... but you may need a different material for your wheel.

true.:icon14: and bigger clips that will hold even the norway-portfolio. I can fix several wheels and change them. Thanks for brainstorming!

You can purchase the wheels made of cork. I have one from a fly drier I purchased many many yeas ago. Don't remember who sold them and don't know where the wheel came from, just know they are made. Pop

Came across this photo while looking for something else but thought it was a really cool idea. It was originally posted on a Tuna fishing forum..... http://www.senortuna.com/main/showthread.php?t=29762 ......with some other configurations to spin different lures. You could also run several 'wheels' down the shaft and spin dry a whole lot of lures at one time.
