LP Crappie 04/17/11

Went out this morning, with SRHBRO951, for RE and BG which we got - but no real piggies (we got wannabies). Got a nice 17.5"/2.5lb crappie on 2lb Yo-Zuri Hybrid with a 1/64th custom duck chub with a VMC 6147 #12 hook. The jig is from the tutorial I did for the UL Chub!

Now you're talking LH. That's my kind of fish! I just left my biggest ever with the taxidermist, she was 2-12. Everybody was saying, "I'd wait on a 3 pounder", but I was proud of this one. Heck, one more shad for breakfast and she would have been 3 lbs. LOL That's a nice one LedHed, congrats.

RD – got lucky with the hook placement

SV - was curious how big one should be to mount

AF – think they are post spawn; they started way early this season. Only got the one – to busy fishing for BG & RE and don’t really fish for crappie. Got two other crappie this season on the CK3 (go figure – tye a BG jig and it catches crappie)
