Sad day today - lost a favorite rod & reel combo. Had two of em' - now I'm down to one... Watched it slide across the dock and shoot into 27 FOW water! Not happy but I deserved it. Happened a couple of times the last few outings (the sliding thing) - thought it was funny - ha ha. Then catch a fatty. Well payback is not fun - a fatty got me today. Should show more respect for the mighty Bluegill.

Very nice gill hate you lost (another) rod to the deep. Seems when we find a setup we really like something happens to them.

Good looking fish ... tough luck on the combo ... keeps the tackle makers in biz. At least a fish did it and not something stupid like I have done to loose one ..

I don't think the outfit went to far. I'd be hunting up a big magnet and drag the bottom the next time you get out. I've been lucky and never lost a rod but have come close a few times. What kind of combo was it? Got some bruiser gills around that dock.
