Got out with my Grandnephew Andrew & Noel. We got a lot of 8” to 9” BG – mostly females. Andrew got into this bass and was all happy – don’t worry he still loves to catch BGs.

Caught this 2.25lb (almost foot long) BG on a 1/24th BS Chub, Matzuo #6 BC sickle hook, 00 willow blade & cricket

This sow came out of 35 FOW, surface temp was 75*F. The females are gorging on insect larva off of the bottom and shad. You can see her eyes bugged out from coming up so fast, unfortunately we couldn't revive her.

They also dump everything coming up from the deep.

WHOA! that is a hoss! Never in my wildest dreams would I catch one that big. How do you fish for anything in 35' of water w/ finesse? Crazy.
Like the goatee. Mines close to that.
Good times w/ fam, congrats. You deserve it Sonny.

That is a hog :bigfish:. Great to see y'all are staying on the fish. That is deep fishing and it's hard to keep fish alive from those depths.

LP – thnx. Fishing that deep is not that hard – mealworm fishes deeper than that! I don’t have the patience. Next week or two should be 20’ to 17’.

RD – been fishing with the kids all month – got a bunch of pics to post.

Big thnx bm, tf, Rt, JM, SH, & azls

thnx ch - it's too cool when you catch on homemades

JSC - it's always a chase

Jungle - had to put the Tectan away for a little while - too many break offs! Still using the Yo-Zuri 2lb Hybrid.
