Got on the lake a little late today – kid day for me. Noel got roped in later. Pretty much a repeat of the last 2 trips except we had kids knocking out the chunk BGs.

Jigs tipped with crickets have been the ticket, specially these new rubber legged things we have been tossing.

Kenya with her first BG – Tectan 2lb, 1/64th rubber leg chub, #10 Matzuo BC hook.

Man,you've been killing those gills out there. I'll get more of the skirt tabs out to you soon. How many strands are in the tail of those jigs? I bet the kids had a blast the way gills that size pull.

Awesome! Nothin' better than kids and big fish.

Do you like the Yo-Zuri 2lb line? I'm looking for something better than Trilene XL for dock fishing in the winter.

Thnx hunter, Ronny
Jungle need the tabs asap. Been taking a single strand and doubling it twice. Tye on the hook with 4 strands to the back and then folding over the other 4 strands and tying off. Ending up with 8 strands in the tail. Noel and I have been doing 1/80th #10 with 4 strands to the back and two strands on either side. Some with crystalflash and some with out.
qk if you got a spare spool - send it - can hook you up with some clear.

I'll have to dig around and see what I can find... I appreciate the offer!
Any specific color combinations you've been nailing 'em with?

I need to see a picture of those little rubber jigs when you get a chance. I'll get something in the mail early next week. I'd love to snag a few gills like those.

Sonny do you have problems with those big BG's swallowing the small jigs with #10 hooks. Gills here aren't as big but swallow the heck out of little jigs.

Out here...
some mighty fine eating right there. I stocked a tank at the ranch with some fish look a lot like those. They are called copper nose blue gill. They are a beautiful fish and grow to a nice size chunk. Congrats on a good trip.
