Got out with Angelica and Fabby today for some pan fish action at LP. We got in to a mess of fish but only kept 15 REs and BGs for fillets. Off the lake by 10:30 – we moved twice – didn’t notice the water temp.

Fabby breaks the ice with the first BG on a 1/32nd black roundhead jig tyed Hardbody style.

Got a bunch of 10” pre-spawnners. Been throwing the Belly spinners a lot now

Have to hold my own……

Fabby’s first RE – looks like a hybrid (to me) – didn’t have the pronounced pin bones on the sides when I filleted it.

Good going LedHed! It's always great to see someone take out the kids and show them how to fish. Nice pics too. That close up of the BG is really good. If I was still doing taxidermy, it would be a great reference shot for a Coppernose mount. How did Angelica do?

Thnx – going the wrong

Thnx – Fabby is a BG fisher, really sick that day but it wasn’t going to stop her. Just picked up a little rod & reel combo for her at Bass Pro. Angelica was too busy on the snooze.

Big thnx

The weather has been nice – little too cool at night though. I think the dam is 2 miles long and you can fish all but the south end where they pump out the water. Years ago – before the bass guys “fixed” the lake by bringing in illegal largemouth, you could catch all kinds of line class record Alabama spotted bass on the dam. Especially in the middle – kicked out 3 world record bass back in the 80s.

Thnx - Don’t know who had more fun…..
