I am looking for a small 1/100 1/80 ounce jig mold. Hilts seem to be the only one available and I've heard good and bad about hilts molds with the majority leaning towards the bad. So are there any other options that anyone is aware of?

I would love to be able to cast #12, #10, #8 hooks in the sizes listed. I had a 1/100th ounce single cavity made by a friends father but after his father passed away, he kinda wanted the mold for sentimental reasons enough said.

I no longer have the mold and need something to round out my selection.
Any suggestions?

I am seriously considering making my own but for something that small, I am not sure my machinery had the required accuracy nor am I certain that I have the skills for the degree of accuracy required.

Jacobs is working on it . I'm going to try to get him to offer with a small gate port and a regular . But you have a problem . One guy will cry " I can't get it to pour . Then the other guy will cry " I can't get a clean separation . Darn if you do and darn if you don't . To the guys that cry I can't get it to pour . Quit using crap lead Or touch up the hole with a drill . If any body has a mold that is messing up I'd be more than glad to receive emails .

I will be going through my molds today Hopefully I will be posting soon for those interested .Might even be open to trades of some kind . Probably got some crap molds I may send for shipping only .Think I'll do a thread now some place for that .

Hilts molds are closer to the true weight then Do-it. They pour well enough - got an extra if you want to try it.

The semi custom is a very good mold. Haven't tried Jacob's yet Ronny - still haven't used the other two yet. Gonna rain tomorrow - will have something to do..

tf - -you can never please everyone - impossible. Amazing what "pouring technique" can fix with problem molds...

Using Jacobs and they are working. I think Stump was going to get a 1/100. Maybe stump can provide some feedback.

I asked the guy at Jacob's Baits if he would make a combo mold...one side with 1\100th oz heads and the other side with 1\64th oz...both with no collar. He said I would have to wait till after the busy season for a custom mold, and he said he might charge more for a mold like that. Still, at only $50 for a CNC 1/100th oz mold is a great price. I might not wait...

1/80 or 1/64 (small hook) would be a must have mold if i poured my own............ would not matter the cost. ;) It would be similar to buying a 1/8th or 1/16th mold since those are a majority of the jigs i use day to day. Production style all the way.

Then again.... i do not pour any lead. Someday...........................

I have the Jacob 1/100 mold but have not used it yet, been to busy pouring and tying 1/16 jigs. I'll try to use it this week and report on how well it works.

Hey SH... if u don't use it and want to part with it, I'd be happy to BUY (not borrow) it from you! I want one, but I want to mod it very slightly. I want to put a tiny amount of 'filler' in each cavity so it will make a 'pillhead' type head. It will weigh less and look like these:

I still want one with 5 cavities of 1/100th oz and 5 with 1/80th oz...both with the pillhead style...
Let us know how you like it! I have not heard anything bad about his molds!
