Yak hair and icelandic sheep (also called streamer hair) both come in sizes that long and should come dyed in the color you want.

If synthetics are OK, you have a lot of choices.

If you are interested in straight synthetic hair, I'd visit your local dollar store and take a look at hair extensions. These are available year-round. There are blond/gold ones that might fit what you need. They are really cheap for the amount of material you'll get.

I have some of the Icelandic Sheep that I got from Dave on Fly Tyer forums but I didn't think it was that long I'll have to measure it when I get home. It's still sitting on top of my dresser safely packed. Since I got the PB I hadn't figured out what to use it on yet. Don't use alot of streamers myself although the gang over there ribbed me good for not using them more.

I'll check on the length and post a pic when I get home.

Only other thing I can think of is a guy on ebay is closing his shop and he's got something called krinkle hair, I'll post a link to his shop on ebay also.

Icelandic sheep, Cashmere goat, and Yak streamer hair are the only ones i could find in a search that were close in product description. But most said they were 5"-8" length so only the few longest fiber would be that length. Spirit River has a product called SeaHair that is a kinked nylon.... but not too kinky. :p Above was mentioned horse hair and synthetic hair extensions and they may be your best option.

Are you trying to create a specific pattern, style or look? Maybe there are other materials that you could swap - rabbit or squirrel zonkers come to mind since you can cut them to desired length - and they come in a Magnum size if you need a more full look. There are some very long saddle hackle that could be used but that would eat up some $$$ to get a full look.

He mentioned it in a couple posts back. Google 'parachute jigs' and you will find lots of examples.
