It's been quite a while, since I have posted on here.. Kind of gave up on the tying for a while, except the few I needed to fish with. Things got a little rough at work over the last year, and lost some time... So I decided to open up shop legally and sell some jig heads. It was a little slow going at first, but it has picked up quite a bit lately!
I learned a lot from the guys on this site, and can put my success on the teaching and good fellowship I found on here. It's gotten to where I can't hardly keep up with the orders anymore, and will be buying some spin casting equipment soon, along with mold making stuff.. The whole 9 yards.
I still have a lot to learn... But for a side job, can't beat it. I have met some great folks and had some great opportunities to fish with some awesome fishermen.
Thanks again for all the help on here years ago... The lessons learned will be remembered!
If you want to check out some of my jigs.. Give a like to MAD Crappie JIGS on Facebook!

Start up is tough. Although I toyed with the idea, have never started and am happy selling/trading still do not see where I could make a living off of jigs and ever have time to fish. Added to that is so much competition and IMO the fact that you almost need to specilaize jigs for certain bodies of water and speciees, I cant see a living off of it.

Wish you the best of luck.

Hey hey hey, welcome back! Glad to hear you are getting a return off the whole jig addiction. ;) One of these days....... it would be nice to get some pay back. haha. So far i am happy with trades to keep me stocked and fishing but may take it up as a biz some day. Blue/Troos is a reliable favorite, great looking painted heads. Throw in a pearl belly and you get into the Helsinki Shad territory that is a major favorite in walleye fishing for me.

Take it while you can get it! Good to hear from you. :)

Exceptionally clean paint jobs on what look like spin cast heads. Good luck with going big time - them machines are a sizeable investment.

Thanks fellas... Like I said its part time, I work one month on the ship, and one month at home. Needed to find something to do in that month off! Laying on the couch watching TV doesn't pay for fishing trips, so had to do something!!
