We have a two swaps on going; the ever popular Jig Swap (#20) and the new (improved) T&M Swap (Round II).

Was thinking maybe we might try a Lead Head Jig Swap... Don't think anybody has done/tried that. Something for the jig pourers.

Participation will require agreement to provide a package of 100 jigs in 4 bags of 25, flat rate postage, and rapid turnaround.

My proposal (open for editing);

1) The host will start with a seed package of 150 jigs broken down into 6 bags of 25.

2) Next participant takes 3 bags of 25 and submits their pack of 100.

3) Earmark the 4th bag for the host.

4) The box is then sent to the next participant.

5) Host receives the box with the remaining bags of jigs at the end of the swap.

Anybody interested????

I'm not usually a pourer but my Padna is loaning me his Lee for a spell as I have several hundred jigs to make so maybe I'll give it a shot. Let me clarify though, you'll send 6 packs of 25 heads each to the next person, that person will take 3 packs out, put 4 packs in & send it to the next on the list, right? Seems to me, if there were say 20 participants (each removing 3 & adding 4), when the box reaches you at the end, there will be 26 packs of heads (650 heads) in it. Am I doing the math right?

Pp - yes, it comes out to 26 bags - 6 from the seed and don't need to be a pourer. Lucky to get 20 on this - maybe 10.

Think it would be a good way for some members to get a hold of some custom jigs.

We could donate the 20 packs back to the site far an auction to cover site costs..... Not sure of the legalities of doing that??

If size were limited to 1/8 oz or less I would be interested. When I get a new mold, I make a couple hundred of each and end up scrapping or giving away almost all over 1/8oz. In my tackle boxes, I have up to 1/8 ounce but rarely use anything over 1/16th.

So maybe set a size limit and run a couple of these or maybe check interest and do it by size!

I would be interested. Depending on the number involved the weight of the box as it gets down the list may be pretty heavy.

I would play with either my 1/16 custom or my 1/32 custom. Also have picked up a recent 1/24 mold.

OK - we can keep it light jigs

If we keep it to a small flat rate - weight should be covered.

Keep the sign up to 10 - help minimize wt.

Don't think it matters if they are all the same or not.

I don't have any custom molds. All I have is the plain round head no barb stuff.
Can I still play? I will let everyone decide and understand if you want to limit the swap to custom stuff.

Haven't started yet - looking to see if there is an interest. There are a few so far - about 4 or 5 so far.

How bout a minimum of 5 and a max of 10 participants??

Host keeps extras??

Think we have a bout 6 or 7 members that have expressed an interest... Let's give it another week and then we'll start a sign up list.

Any more concerns - ideas???????
