We went looking for June a full size bed a couple weeks ago. Pretty much everything we found in stores was OVER PRICED JUNK! Well I popped off and told my wife I could build something better than these! The last thing I needed was another project on my hands, BUT she said I had until Thanksgiving or she was buying one.

I only had about $85 in lumber and probably another $80 in primer and paints. Im glad I went this route because it turned out pretty nice. Steph is into the old vintage look so I went with a crackle paint scheme. I plan on building a trundle for it soon.

Heres a couple pics from our Christmas tree hunt. I don't remember the last time June had this much fun! She would run up to just about every tree tree and say "Dis One???" "How bout Dis One?"

Ah, a fellow L-7 builder. Nice underbed storage - luckily I built ours 15" off the floor cuz now its so packed with stuff underneath a roach would have difficulty crawling in.

Didya get that tree?

Great Job on the bed there young man. Good thing I ain't a raising your little girl. I would never be able to tell her NO. And we all know that's not a good thing.

Thanks guys. The bed was pretty simple... I used pocket holes for most of the joinery. I did this one 12" off the floor. One more inch and her wagon (that sounds like a freight train roaring up and down the hall) could have slid under the bed and out of the way. But once I get the trundle in there it wouldn't matter anyway.

Russ... Snow?
