BEAR! Today dad moved a ground blind about 50 yards from here. When he got home and checked the the pictures I dunno if he still wants to be sitting in that blind! Last year was the first year we had hogs move in on us. This year looks to be teh year of the black bear!

Just don't have any snacks in there with you . Take a big steal pot and a wooden heavy spoon If he gets to messing around close Jump up and start whaling on that pot . He will scoot right on out . Unless there are cubs and it's a she . If that is the case there is a 50/50 chance it will run at you .

The bear can eat about 20 lbs of those unless he took a poop before he started then it would be 25 .

Good possibility he has a chip in him. In other words you better have claw marks on ya before you touch him!

I have some buddies that have a lease in Jefferson County, right on the LA. border. They have seen an increase in Bears since the big fire last year. The Game Warden told them to ignore them, and to not harvest them unless life threatening...
