June's first fishin trip!

Every time she goes out to shop with me to check on the shiners she asks... "Daddy one day, you gone take me fishin with you? One day?"
Well Today was the big day she has been waiting for! I was not real sure how it was going pan out. She doesn't like loud noises and is scared of law mowers, 4wheelers so I figured the boat motor was going to on the TOO LOUD list. I was a proud feller last night at academy when she picked out her new pole. Of course she ran right up to the sponge bob pole. Then she saw the tinkerbell one. Then she looked on the other side of the aisle and said "Oooh I want of these. It's like daddy's!" I couldn't believe it. There was no pink! So we grabbed that pole in hurry before she changed her mind.

Today was great. She wasn't scared one bit of the boat and to top it off she didn't fall out. Ha! Wasn't long before we found a spot that was full of small bream. I set the hook and handed her the pole. Before I could tell her what to do, she had the sucker in the boat! After a couple hours she was tuckered out. It was a muggy 96 but we enjoyed every minute. June will be 3 in October.

A thick 96 degrees is cooler than normal! So we had low humidity (by our standards at least) earlier this week... OMG I better not hear any northern complaints about summer. 90 degrees was very comfortable.

Every day this week shes asked me If I remember when we went fishing and she caught her first fish. June surprised me again this week by actually enjoying a 4wheeler ride. That girl might just turn out alright!
