I've been tying Shannon's streamer. It's basically a worm fly. One of the guys on another forum thought it might work good for crappie, so I came home and tied a couple.

for crappie switch from the thicker chenille to ice chenile. i have also used satin for the tail instead of marabou on smaller jigs. joe[flyfishohio] started calling it the senko fly but it was really intended to imitate a fluke. for a real jig worm melt the tail of a 3inch chenille and tie on along the shank, tie on more chenille and backwrap it like the shannon the double wrapping of the area behind the bend will help it from fouling on the hook. rich mc

Should work just fine. White is a color that fish sometimes really key on. While intended for Crappie, I would not hesitate to fish it for other species also. Thanks for sharing.
