I just finished a swap on another site, and am waiting for the final submissions on the current swap on this site. Yes, I have the bug bad! Swaps for me are fun and a great way to kill some time and prevent brain stagnation.
More importantly, I learn something new from every swap and when loooking at the jigs I've received learn different techniques, how different materials are used and get some very interesting jigs.
Currently we have 5 folks signed up for hosting (I snuck again in at #30 but will gladly drop down the list if someone wants that spot). So, if anyone wants to host, please check the link below and sign up, I'll get you in the queue. You get to deffine the swap and make the rules and they seem to be followed reasonably well.

Swap meister duties are simple define and announce the swap ( I will prompt you when its time) establish a sign up period, assign a time by which jigs should be completed and mailed, take pics if possible of jigs and post them to your thread, finally sort, package and mail back to participants.
To date, we have had 25 swaps and a total of 69 participants. So I know we have a lot of tiers on this site. Usually swaps are less than 15 participants. I personally tie 30 or so jigs for every swap and try to send 2 jigs for each swap and have noticed several others doing the same thing.
You do not need to be an expert, all are welcome and there are many on this list willing to help if you need advice on a particular tie.
