I use mostly ProTech, but a few others as well. The ProTech seems to have a fairly consistent cure temp/time across the colors that i like. Simplifies things.

Depends . small jig heads and saltwater I use vinyl . Saltwater gets an epoxy coat along with plugs ect. I use powder from Tiger , Columbia , Roseys , Pro Tech and even Harbor Frieght .I don't cure the same way everybody else does . Takes a lot longer but you have to use a grinder to chip it . Not worth it if the fish don't have teeth .

Nowadays, Rosey's and Harbor Freight for me since I use a smaller range of colors for bass fishing. For crappie, I do use the Pro-Tec more often.

I have a question...remember I am a newbie..is it better to use a oven or blow torch ..?? Which one makes the paint flow better and adhere better.?.and is it really that important to reheat after applying the paint ..??

CropE, get yourself a $6 alcohol burner off eBay & you won't have to listen to the noise a heat gun makes. Then use your toaster oven to cure the paint making it rock hard.
