With all the various jig head styles available and since I lack enough knowledge about the heads and their purposes, I thought It may be useful if members would post a bit about various jig head styles. Please try to post in the following format. If enough information is shared, I will combine condense and put together as document or spread sheet. Looking forward to hearing what you all have to say.

Head Description: Ball Style
Application: worms, minnows, bucktails, Feathers, and grubs
Pros:Fast sinking, gets to bottom quickly. Probably the most popular jig head available.
Cons: Snags easily in rocks
Method: Cast and retrieve, troll, vertical jigging

Head Description: Darter Style:
Application: worms, minnows, feathers, bucktails, and grubs
Pros: Glide thru water so are great for suspended fish trolled at depth
Cons: Hard to fish on bottom and around structure as the head causes the jig to swim and seems to me right about and between limbs.
Method: Cast and retrieve, troll, vertical jigging,

Head Description: Spinner/Prop Style
Application: worms, minnows, feathers, bucktails, and grubs
Pros: Adds Flash to swimming jigs
Cons: Not good around cover or in areas with floating weed, grass, moss.
Method: Cast and retrieve, troll, vertical jigging
