For those of you who use nail polish to paint your heads this is the jig finish I use. It works great and is much more durable than Sally's Hard as Nails Clear coat and much easier than using a two part epoxy. I just dip a painted head in the jar then tap it till excess drips off then give it a couple more quick shakes and hang it up. Dries enough to tie in about fifteen minutes and fully cures in a matter of hours. You can do a ton of jigs with one little 1oz jar. I'm switching over to powder paint here pretty soon but for now this works great!

You can still use the clearcoat when you switch to powder paint. When I add eyes I cover with 3 coats off clear to keep the eyes on.

The problem I've had with it is yellowing and dulling, it isn't too noticable on a pearl colored jig but white you really see the yellowing and most other colors that are gloss you will see how it dulls. I tried it multiple times thinking I got a bad batch, I stirred it, I shook it and shook and stirred and the same problems and on larger bass jigs Devcon 2 ton epoxy was much more durable. On small nail polish jigs it will be good enough, I use Sally Hansens just because it stays clear and I only use it on stuff with eyes.
