we have our company inventory tonight/tomorrow
management losing their minds...because upper management is in town.
Sales staff that disappear... Cause their job is "to sell, nothing else"
Hourlies with blank stares...The poor new kids don't have a clue.
god I can't wait til this is over.
(been two of the 3 on the list.)

Learn to blend . Grab a clip board run around all over the place with an angry look on your face peaking in every thing and scribbling . For the most part you'll go unnoticed and unmolested by upper management . You'll be the man that's staying on top of things. LOL

Been there. Did it 11 yrs. Agree with Led, but use it til your ability not to use it is all I will say. Sometimes life in turmoil beats life in agony. Just depends on how you play the ball afterwards and what's exactly on the plate. But def be happy your hate supplies a paycheck.

I've had to do equipment inventories for the govt for almost 30 years and never had a problem, never a thing missing. Last year a youngster with 5 yrs. in govt tried to tell me how to do it, so I let her. Things were missing, couldn't find them and then the boss's wanted me to fix it - oh I'm sorry I can't move or lift anything because if messed up my back.

Told her you messed it up and know so much, go ahead and fix it (still not fixed), and this years inventory is slated to start and I can't do it again this year because of my recent surgery OH DARN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One night down... went good. Yeah there are lots of ways to look at it and I really am glad to have a job, 9 years with the same company. but I got to say... Backhanded compliments are getting old. Because you know so much we are going to give you more... and let the people that don't as much... well they can go home early. Heres a crazy idea... train them! so next time they can do more.

Right now I'm close to being able to retire but here's the problem!! If I go and retire I'm only going to be 50 - only the pension no ss or medicare yet for another 15+ years. And I get my VA check every month. I'd still have to find a job to make up about a $1000 a month to equal what I make now.

I've looked in my area and for men 50 plus - they don't want to know you. As much as I hate where I am at least I have a job and getting a check. But the 100 mile round trip is getting really boring and winter is coming again.

JS govt is really good at rewarding the waste and the good people get to do everything.
