Yep and they look well fed as well.
Better carry some sort of deterrent with you. Couple years ago had a close call with one of our cavaliers. He was at the back end of out 4 acre field chasing grasshoppers. I saw a dark shape about 20 feet from him and figuring it was my lab gave her a yell and no repsonse, a few choice mutteringss on my part and just I was getting ready for call #2, lab comes from behind me growling and making a bee line towards the back corner. It was a coyote in the back stalking the little guy. With the moving threat, the coyote disappeared. My movements around the pond had done nothing nor had my hollering.
The lab ate better that night than the coyote. My wife had seen the event from an upstairs window but did not realize what had almost happened.
I live on a 1.4 mile long road with 14 houses and everyone had 4-18 acres and the coyote was within 250 feet of 5 houses. I kill 2-3 a year always for cause and I've never left my porch or driveway. Many more have gotten away because there are only certain areas where a shot is safe.
