Yes, I'm mentioned by name in this article written by a good friend of mine. But, that's not why I'm posting the link to it here. I do believe that it's a well-written article that speaks to the skills and spirit of jig tying craftsmen everywhere. To those who tie for the passionate enjoyment of the art involved in this activity and simply catching fish, see what you think and I hope that you all enjoy reading it.

It involves crappie jigs! ;)

Great read. Those are special days he refers to in this article. No greater satisfaction than to catch fish on something you crafted yourself.

Pup, this was a well deserved read.
I remember the first jig I tyed and the somewhat positive criticism I received. I had heard of the rewards of tying a jig and now was the time to try my first little jigs out. After the first fishing trip there was no greater feeling than catching a fish on something I created. To this day I fish strictly with a jig and totally convinced that presentation is a key role to success.

Very enjoyable story. It is very rewarding when you or someone else catch fish on jigs that you create. The craftsmanship that goes into a hand tied jig is by far the best...Pup I still think you have the Best Craft Fur Jigs I have ever seen...

Very well written and enjoyable storyline. The writer has captured what all this is about. He might have done better with live bait or using some other technique but I think he enjoyed the way he did it to the fullest. It don't get better than that.
