Started at 4:30am fished till 10am. My boat sticks out to much and I had two hawking me so was time to leave. Every tree sticking out had a boat on it today...water temp is 63 and the spawn is on but I still stayed out in deeper water. 90% of the guys are only fishing reg hooks for spider rigging and losing the race. First time out with the new mylar. WILL BE TYING MORE! 1/8oz with #1 hooks. Caught majority on mylar and 2nd place was the wool body pink duck flank. Only kept 10 but caught at least 30. Real aggressive bite today.

Fishing has really sucked here . More crazy weather today . I'd be happy as a hog in slop to catch that mess. Looks like you would have come home with a boat load of sand bass using mylar jigs.

Good-looking catch. :t-up:

I like the looks of your mylar jig in the mouth of that white bass. Am a big fan of white bass too.

Nice mess of fish, those white's are a lot of fun, they sure can pull. What lakes are you fishing in Illinois? At one small lake here the bluegill and redear are already on beds and had a blast yesterday with them, all C&R. Went to another small lake a few miles from there and found some spawning crappie, including some bigger ones for this area. Strung several but ended up letting them go after pics. I need to figure out how to get pics from phone to here. I sent some to my email from phone.
