Watch out for registry cleaners - I installed "Microsoft Gold Partner" RegCure Pro which turned out to be fake and possibly malware.

The update is supposed to come down Tuesday, 16 Dec. I don't do automatic downloads anyway I want to choose what I'm letting through. Good luck guys!!

Thanks for the heads up! It sounds like it only effects service pack 1 and that is what mine is.....I guess I better figure out how to turn off auto updates.
Why are they releasing it tomorrow if they know it causes problems??? I would think they could "head it off at the pass" sort of speak. And block it from windows 7 service pack 1.

Click start, then Control Panel, click on the windows update icon and when it comes up click change settings and turn it off
