Ice Cream Field Test - Breyer's vs. Alden's Organic

I used to like Breyer's at one time, with its rep for being "all natural". But after almost a century of family ownership the brand was sold in 2006 to industrial food conglomerates, currently Unilever.

Very recently, our Safeway started carrying Alden's Organic which I really like, especially, their Salted Caramel flavor. Last night my fishing bro Jon invited me to a catfish fry and by coincidence he had Breyer's Salted Caramel for desert. Suffice to say I won't be buying Breyer's anytime soon.

BTW I couldn't taste the "salted".

Thanks for the offer, but home made is a family fun thing and I'm a one person household.

Alden's at $5.99 for a quart & a half is such a good deal for a quality product I might be gaining instead of losing weight this Summer.
