After I saw Andy's "I need some advice" post and a "My Tying Room" on another forum, I realized I was really missing the boat in my tying space so this morning I went to work. Most of you have seen my tying space, it's just an old steel office desk with some drawer units on top. Here is the before

I've been able to turn out jigs OK but I was constantly having to move stuff around to open a drawer to get paint or other items in the bottom drawers.
Then I realized I had 4 huge drawers full of junk right at my knees. I cleaned them out and now all my powder paint is in 3 drawers and I don't have to move anything to get to them, plus, all my unpainted jigheads are in the big middle drawer easily accessable.

I know it doesn't look much different but it is WAY better organized for my purpose.

Prolly but I'd have to get it closer to the sun for the powder to stick!

You still have more room on the shelfs to the left...... now get to cleaning so you can buy MORE STUFF! :D Nice stash of powder paint you have.

Nice looking tying space, Vern. Mine is a small 3 drawer roll around I bought at wallyworld for 10 bucks, and a workbench in the garage for pouring and painting. Most of my tying is done on the kitchen table on weekends after the wife and kids go to bed, and I can't go fishing early in the morning.

All is see missing is a radio and a keg box.... Nice!

HA! I keep it pretty quiet when I'm tying and this is a "home office" so any beverage I might want is just in the next room.

But, gosh, that is a long walk. I am betting if you threw a couple ice packs in that safe..... you could keep a 6-pack cold long enough to get you through the night.
