Today my dad and I went to the flea market. I got a cast iron corn stick pan(antique), 2 pieces of pewter, a lead scuba diving weight, and an airsoft gun. I paid $2 for the lead scuba diving weight and it weighs 2.9 lbs for a price of about 66 cents per lb. I got 2 pieces of pewter for $3, weight of both together about 1.44 lbs for a price of about 2.07 per lb, an old antique cast iron corn stick pan for $10, and an airsoft gun for $12 with a container of 1000 plastic BBs at no extra cost for a total of $27 for all the items. Here is a pic of what I got today. Do you think I scored a good deal and what do you think?

I just store them so one day I could sell them since tin is expensive and make money to buy lead with. I also make them into ingots and plan on trying to make some pewter sinkers one day.

The smaller "pewter" utensil looks suspiciously shiny and undamaged? If it is real pewter, in that condition you might consider collectible value as Fatman suggests, tho the absence of the lid is a big negative. Since pewter is is often cast into wearable items, only certified lead free is suitable for this purpose. Mystery pewter without collector value is best used to add tin content to jig head alloys.

My cast iron bread stick "pan" gets lots of use as an ingot mold - good find.

I did not melt the pewter as the pewter only has some scratches and gouges but no dents. I did melt the big piece of pewter yesterday as it was dented and missing a lid. I will look for the value of the small piece of pewter so I could get more money to get some more lead or cheap pewter. Do you think that lead scuba weight looks like it is worth any money? It seems to be pure as I can easily scratch it, even through the oxide layer.

I would guess the dive weight has very little utilitarian value in TN so scrap value. Better quality ones are dipped in plastic or vinyl to protect against lead handling exposure.

The small teapot is pewter as the bottom says concorde pewter and then has an icon with a k in it and has 388 stamped below the hallmark. I will post a pic later of the hallmark.
