I don't understand "Caucus"?

Altho I favored Donald Trumps "political outsider" position in principle, after learning a politifact.com examination of his statements revealed 3/4 were lies, I decided to support Bernie Sanders. I'm confused that after attending our town Democratic "caucus" and signing a support document for Mr. Sanders that this counts as a vote? I THINK I also have to attend Nebraska's primary to ballot vote since the caucus was POTUS only? Republicans apparently don't have a caucus in this state, and I've read some caucus states have delegates and some "super delegates".  Confused...

Lots EZer in HI, everybody shows up on primary day, secretly picks a party line ballot, and votes. No need for independents like myself to deal with a pre-register with a party preference deadline. Altho, since I left, I think HI switched to a caucus system.

I think the caucus system leaves many out of the process, since only 80 voters in an 8,000 population county showed up.

I don't put much faith in politifact, snopes and many of the other supposedly investigative websites. Just too many contradictions with all of them. As far as the caucuses, haven't really got that one figured out yet except that most political parties just love statistics and the more numbers the better. That way they can tailor their lies to convince everyone that they are the best. Just look for the candidate that doesn't flip flop and keeps changing their lies just to please everyone (which is impossible) and the one that want's to work for us and the country and vote for them. We'r also not a big fan out here of the electoral collage. They always claim that Your Vote Counts but when it's already decided before we even close our polls that's a bunch of BS. Should be straight up votes, everyone counted and that's that! As far as Trump, I personally think the reason there's such a hub-bub over him is that he's not part of the "good old boy's club" and they don't want someone in there that's going to stir up their little party. Personally I DO! It's time for a house cleaning and get some of those lazy A**es that are sitting in there raking in the dough out and actually doing something or just plain OUT. If you don't think that he's a threat to all of them why do you think that both parties are smearing him?  I just hope he has excellent security.

The good ol' boyz of the grand ol' party do not like Trump. That's why he's shaking up the elections and there's allot of vitriol at his speeches.

Trumps a smart mofo. He realizes that not everyone will 'buy his product' so he's marketing to those who will. I'm surprised at the number of people who support his values - and believe that he brings a breath of fresh air to all those Americans who feel it's about time they have someone that listens to them.

As an owner of 2 small business, I can tell you that with everything Bernie plans to give out will clearly raise my taxes to where they will be out of bounds to which I will be better off without them.  Therefore I will probably  close them and jump on the free Bern ban wagon, if he gets elected.  Myself I think it is time the country is ran as a business and made to account for the experiences and income.  The things the current President is doing, if I were to try that in my business I'd be in jail, fined, and told to pay up.
Being from Kentucky, we went the way of Caucuses this year and I personally didn't like it.  In our small county we went from 8 precincts where we could vote to one County Caucus place.    The turn out was lower due to this I believe because of the extra travel and it being on a Saturday, and the polls not opening till 9 and closing at 4.  Our Senator Rand Paul was the one who got that changed I believe, and though I like Rand Paul I thought it was a poor move.
duffy you hit the nail on the head with the good ole boys club.  I have been upset with the process of one certain Senator Mitch McConnell.  I being a stanch GOP supporter I have made if very clear to my congressmen how I feel and that will stop after the way the so called Good Ole Boy's are trying to maneuver what they want compared to what the majority voters want.

one on one vote . Anything less is a rip off . As for who wins well it's to late for someone to fix it . I'm just going to lock and load rather than wind up in a FEMA reeducation camp . Cause once you go to camp or jail you ain't coming back .

All I know is after the election gas prices will go back up, and whatever promises that where made will not be kept. There's so many liberals in Oregon, and more moving up from California as I type, us eastern Oregon folks don't stand a chance.

F&F I'm thinking we need to cut Wa North-South along the cascades by Elensburg straight down through Oregon, go East @ OR south border and take the top of Idaho and make our own state! :D :D Then don't sell any land to any liberals or anyone that doesn't like to hunt, fish and work for a living.

On a side note, anyone know why my text is so large in my previous post???

Huh, you guys don't like Guinness ?

I'm not sure Ms. Clinton is a shoo-in. If you info from Fox News, she's a lying criminal. Low profile investigative sites assert that a suspicious # of folks connected to Hillary & Bill end up dead by unnatural causes. Independents like myself consider her bought & paid for by Wall St. & big corps. However she appears to be VERY successful attracting the female, Black & Hispanic, and older Caucasian Democratic faithful voters.

How many of ya'll figured Obama would make a second Term?

I did - but not on his experience.  Romney didn't have what it took to win.

My vote was with Bachman
