I keep an eye out on ebay for useful looking fur garments. About a month ago, a multicolored scarf made from arctic fox in bright pink, yellow and orange popped up. I wanted to bid on it, but forgot about it until the auction was over. When it came up again, I managed to win one.

I finally received it in the mail yesterday and wanted to report it is AWESOME! It's made from dyed pieces of arctic fox hide cut into zonker strips. The strips range from 1" to 4" in length, but since I always cut fox off the hide for crappie jigs, the length doesn't really matter to me. Super bright fluorescent colors that will make great jigs!

The seller's name is taogotoo, and here's a link to the currently running auction:

If you don't win, don't worry. The seller seems to post a new one as soon as the last auction is up.

I'll tie some jigs up for pics in a little bit.

The one I got ended around $15, but it was one of the first auctions for this item. There have been a couple since then that have ended at lower amounts.

Here's a pic of some jigs I tied with the hair, one of each color + an electric chicken. I imagine crappie (and later, salmon/steelhead) will think these colors look delicious.

There's already a new auction up. Not sure how many the seller has, but they seem to put them up more or less continuously. Just keep at it and you'll probably get one eventually.
