Most of you will know me already from another forum that you use. Glad I found this forum, another outlet to get patterns and Ideas from.

I live on the only natural Lake in Texas Caddo Lake. I fish mainly Crappies but do fish my share of Bream. I have tied for over 50 years and still am trying to learn a few things. I have question and also a lot of answers.

If I come off gruff its because I am a old geezer. I have made every mistake at least twice and some three times. I just don't want you to make it once.

Glad to be on board.

I don't think Ronny has to much to worry about. The Redman is getting to old to cause to much trouble. I could talk him to death. I need to get a lot of information from him to become a better jig tier and crappie fisherman.

Thank you all for the welcomes. Some of you I lost track of and now I found you again. Some of you I am getting to know Very neat deal indeed.

To Crappiehappy Ronny and I met up in Bossier City at the BPS. Think I almost talked him to death but he survived. He and his wife were headed to Houston to see his sister. Neather he nor I spent a dime. But we exchanged a lot of good information. We sort of had our own jig swap. I learned a bunch on powder painting. Now that was fun. Want to get him out on Caddo so that he can catch some of our big slabs and redears. He is a fine young gentleman and am glad that I can call him a friend.

I have been worried that we old timers didn't have someone with our passion to take our place. After our visit I know that the jig craft is in good hands and will last as long as there are jig poles, feathers, hooks, and hair. Hats off to you young tiers. Past along the passion if nothing else the rest will follow.
