Now that is what I am talking about. Better be safe than sorry. Call 911 and it takes a while for them to get there. Conceal Carry you become 911. Problem solved. Like the sign says DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS.

Hawn Like I said in a lot of places you carry and have to become 911. We are the farthest point North west of the Sheriff's office in our county (29 miles). The Sheriff told me that they call our area the Wild West or No Mans Land. We are far enough away from the law that we have to take care of our selves. We almost never get any patrol out our way. We all carry so a stranger doesn't knows who has one on or who don't. The only thing that I ever lost was two gallons of gas and figured that the neighbor boys needed it for there go buggy or motor bike.

The other reason that I go armed most of the time around our place is Feral Hogs. Dang dangerous beast and will hurt you bad if given half a chance.

It kind of scares me to wonder who of the crazy sons of B's i know carry on a regular day. Still not sure yet if i like the idea of CC in public place, since the normal people still out number the crazy people. As it goes though, that opinion could change in an instant.

Don't carry myself (not aloud from a stupid ass decision i made as a teenager) but sure as he!! would for the sole means of protection (peace of mind) from coyote packs when i beat the shoreline at night by myself at a couple local reservoirs.

Most public places dont allow CC here...

Government offices, schools, and only a few designated 'public' places will NOT allow you to carry in Ohio, but you need the permit anywhere you go. Some can still carry even in those places. I know a single person with permission to carry in restricted places and that lady honestly scares me more than a robber. She carries into school events and Girl Scout venues and would guess a wet noodle could pry the gun away from her before she would EVER pull the trigger. Just a gut intuition on this gal, hopefully she would surprise me.

Sure wish that Ohio had regulations similar to AZ where you actually have to SHOOT and HIT a target before you are aloud to CC.

I keep my gun on me so much that at times I forget I have it on my side. You have to check all the store fronts here to make sure they don't have a "no concealed" sign. We have a 8 hour class you have to take and then pass a written test then you go to the firing range to fire off 50 rounds at different yardages. You must hit 30 rounds to pass that part of the test. Then you send in an app to SLED for your background check, state and fed. You also have to have a clean driving record (nothing major) back 10 years. Some little things can keep you from getting a permit here.

My son did a bunch of that in Kansas. Both he and his wife how have cc. When he first got out of the Army he had a part time job driving a cab and had to get permission from the company to carry it with him.

Hahaha, thats funny too !

Seriously tho, our strict HI laws limit firearms use even for home protection. Recently, a homeowner got 20 years for manslaughter cause he capped an unarmed B&E perp in the back running away. In carry states, do you need to be directly threatened by another firearm to pull?

You have to feel that you are in danger by others action or (someone else is in danger). In SC you have every right to protect your home and if you are inside of your car. If you have to wait for an firearm to be pulled on you then you have waited to long....
