The bass ones I made, I found some real small rattles that were shaped in a tube. I would tack one onto the shank of the hook up by the head, making sure it's 180d from the bend in the hook to not interfere with your hook up ratio. Then I'd wrap thread on the rattle and add some nail polish to the thread.

very cool

Tye on a piece of heat shrink tubing and use the rattle the bass boyz use - seen some for trout flies too.

Thanks just(the trout ones)what we are looking for. Want a rattle without weight or bulk.Rockport rattle has them but the jigs are bulky and add weight to a 1/32 0r 1/16 oz jig. Thanks again.

Pretty sure you can find cheaper bulk prices - Hagen's maybe..

Eager to see what you come up

Ebay has a bunch of different ones and inexpensive.

IMO you want jigs with long shank hooks especially in the smaller sizes.

We fish crappie tubes 95% of the time. Plastic lure makers at our back door. Need a jighead that goes inside the tube that rattles. Also would like to be able to tye a jig with a rattle.
no added weight,Bulk to a 1/32,1/24, or a 1/16 oz jig. Thanks for all the imput and advice.

Still learning to tye jigs some day will be able to set on the pourch with the big dog's.LOL. really like and learn from this site.
