How do you pour removable split shot?

How do you pour flawless removable lead split shot. I have made some the other day but most were not completely filled with wrinkles on the end where you pinch to remove them off of your line. Any advice on how to cast split shot?

Use the softest lead you can find, a very hot mold and there you go. I used to pour quite a few for my friends and it's easy. Never had a bad pour. However I will tell you that it is cheaper to buy them for what they cost then to pour your own. I don't pour them anymore because of that.

x2.I used to pour them also,what a pain when you can go out and get a pack for a buck.

I sold my mold but here in Vermont split shot have to be tin so for me it's cheaper to just buy them.
