Spent a little time tonight helping Blind jigs See. For those of you who add 3d eyes to Large quantities of jigs in one sitting, I tip my hat to you. I maybe did close to a hundred before my own eyes became GOOGLY.

Do you add any additional adhesive to the eyes when applying?

Hopefully i wont regret it later but no. I was putting superglue at first but it is a pain if you ask me. I hate superglue! Always end up getting it on something it shouldnt it be on and/or something (me) glued to something it shouldnt be. With exception of the heads painted with the harbor freight pp (not sure why?) the eyes were sticking pretty solid so I just stuck em on and brushed sallys on them. Wish I could just dip them in some kind of clearcoat instead of brushing on sally's. I get a better look it seems and it is faster. Can anyone recommend anything? thought about vinyl clearcoat or some kind of one coat epoxy. I like the stick on eyes a whole lot but it sure adds a lil to the process. I think it may be more for the fisherman than the fish but hey I Think my Thinking has been wrong before....I Think. :P

I hate to break this to you but the only real way to keep eyes on is to recess the mold for sockets . There is a thread somewhere one of us did using a pop rivet . It works well and is easy.

hey andy, I am experimenting with different adhesives. im not yaving much luck with sallies lately. its been very very humid and rainy this year. I think it is messing with the sallies, or they changed the formula? ill let u.onow if I.find a better substitute.

Andy, I don't know. I've tried the superglue trick and end up glueing my eye lids together.

Other's that I know use Devcon to coat their jigs, but I've had problems with the devcon changing colors of the powder paint & delaminating the eyes.

I'm open to knowledge ...

im trying something new to me as I type this. I stuck the eyes on right after painting while the paint was still gooey.I have them curing right now @ 400 for 20 miminutes. 7 minutes to go and the eyes seem to be holding ip. im hoping that the paint will adhere them permanently while curing. we'll see.... I really hope this works. I hate double and triple coating them to get the eyez stick the way I want them to.
