As the thread says I'm from Wisconsin. Been tying off and on for 15 years. I've looked at the forums here the passed couple of days and think this will be a fun site! I mainly tie and pour for myself but have been asked to make some for people and a couple resorts lately. hoping to get back few more mold and maybe make a part-time gig out of it.

Howdo Bucko! I'll have some wally opportunity in Sept. (hopefully) off Boysen shoreline in WY and would be interested in your ideas. Obviously, demand for your jigs indicates exceptional effectiveness.

A BIG Howdy from Deep East Texas. Set a spell enjoy the site. Hope to see some of your work. The fish in the lake may bite but we don't.

BTW eat some of those deep fried cheese curds for me. Haven't found any in Texas sure miss eating them.

PLENTY of cheese here!! Just got some fresh gouda from on of the local dairys! yum!! I hope to show you guys some of my work once I get the chance to. I've been having problems with my lead pot. It's leaking from the bottom spout. I gotta call Lee when I get a chance. I know they warranty their pots but I can't afford to send it in right now. Not to mention I have roughly 15 pounds of virgin lead already in the pot. I have 300 jigs on order and need them done by the end of the week and I don't have them poured yet. I haven't missed an order before, and don't want to start now!! Incredibly nervous though. Might have to go out and try to tweak it and see if I can fix it for the meantime.

Quick way to clean it out is lay it on its side and use a propane torch to melt the lead out of it. Scrape it all down and I use an old bass jig with the barb cut off and put into an L shape and stick it up the spout and clean it out good. Make sure to take the pour bar out and scrape it down really good you may have a buildup on the tip of it. Steel wool the bar after cleaning and the inside of the pot then fire it back up with half a pot and adjust it. Takes a bit to do but should really help. I clean mine after every use and I haven't had any leak problems.

When you fire it back up flux the crap out of the lead it will really help, I use some of the wifes old Yankee candles and it helps make the air smell good!!!LOL

As for the cheese we have Cabot cheese company here and lots of small farms that make some good stuff also.

Hey I am a cheese lover. Munster, Colby, cheddar, it doesn't make any difference what it is or where it is from. Yes I buy Cabot block cheese. That is one of my weaknesses I know I would weight 50 lbs. lighter if I wouldn't have cheese with so much. Don't drink much wine am not a wine and cheese snob. One of the things I miss about the mid-west the many little cheese shops with a great variety of cheeses.
