I've been wanting to get into jig head making and tying. I had been thinking about it for awhile and was told buy a customer that if I get back to it to find a 1/128 oz. size jig head mold. Around here plastic beads have replaced this small jig head and fly fishermen and the guys aren't too happy about it. I have looked online and found that this mold is dang near obsolete. Can anybody help me on my search? Thank you!

WELCOME,hhawkins If you can get some heads you can make an rtv high temp silicone molds to get you by until you find a mold. Add about ten drops of water in the silicone and it will set in about 15 minutes.

CAT (Crazy Angler Tackle) is the way to go. He can make what ever you want and as many jigs as you want to pour. He is very reasonable!
He is listed on this site.

I have 5 CAT molds and I'm happy with all of them. #6 should be finished soon. Defintely the way I'd go for a custom mold.

The 1/128 is a common size usually poured on size 10-12 jig hooks. Great size for gills and trout.

That is what some of my friends are looking for. I like making my friends happy. I got to get a blank mold, I have someone local that will put the depressions in for me. I'm excited to get started and learn how to tie. I have a friend at work (Bass Pro Shops) that ties flys and jigs and fly fishes too. And I also have the help from you guys, I won't have any wrong turns, maybe a little! :P

Try Zeiner's for your blank mold. FAST SERVICE and if they don't have it in stock they'll get it.Great pricing as well. Give them a call. For jig hooks and tying materials for the bitty jigs contact CRAZY ANGLER TACKLE. Great pricing and he carries a lot of materials that work great on the little jigs. He can probably get you a blank mold as well.
