First night trip of the year.........

By this time any other year we would have 10+ trips in the book...Hope I remember how to set the hook  Got my Lucky JC hat, couple handfulls of past swap jigs,so what could go wrong...

Oh and I am fishing with someone Ive never even meet before

Been exchanging pm's with him for several months on the texas boards,so if yall never hear from me again, you know what happened...

I know this doesnt belong on the fishing Success Board....................yet...................................

Thinking this weather has everyone across the country in odd form when it comes to outdoor activity. Been a year of extreems.

Have done that a few times now with guys i have made contact with only on the web - does leave you a little aprehensive at first no matter how many PM's you have sent back and forth. Hope you find the fish and learn a little at the same time - doesn't hurt to take a sneak peak at GPS #'s also. :p

Had a really great evening with a very nice young man...Bryan's a 26 yo farmer/firefighter from a small town about 30 miles west of Lubbock..He's been fishing for many years and was a certified minner dunker.............untill last night.

Hit the water right at 7:30 pm and showed him a few of my spots, got settled in right at dark, and got the green lights going..Im not a big fan of night fishing anywhere close to a full moon, but as little as Ive been able to fish,Ill go when i can..He took most of the fish pics, and Ill get them up when he sends them to me..

He had 3 fish before I even got all rigged up,but I caught up pretty quickly.Tied jigs worked best early on,but as the night went on,plastic seem to take over.Played with several different types but the big winner was RonDon's tadpole :t-up::t-up::t-up:He sent me a few samples a while back and this was the first time Ive really been able to fish em ....(let me know next time you pull that mold out Ronny)

Bryan finally put his minner rod up around 2 am and never looked back..Finally left them biting around 4:30 am for the drive home..

Only pic I got was ..........................View attachment 5

That was the crappie, plus one channel cat...............

Edit:that wasnt the keep count, just total caught...One reason I dont like the full moon is the numbers of dinks..This lake is normally 3 or 4-1 last night was closer to 9-1 :@

He is,,,last thing he said to me this am is "where can I get a starter kit"........

I did start thinking on the way home about how many folks Ive been able to meet and actually fish/and or ties some jigs with from the fishing forums...I counted 23, sure i might have missed 1 or 2 but have never meet a bad one(one was very marginal) and no Im not talking about Mel or Heath ;) most Im still friends with and have fished multiple times with... We have a pretty good bunch in our fisher brothers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since Rodger is making me look bad by making everyone think I didn't send him any pictures, here is a few from that trip.
