Has to be the favorite holiday in our house. Lots of color in the woods, scary movies on the tube, black cats on the porch, ghosts hanging from the trees, roasted pumpkin seeds to eat......... and candy!

It will be sad in a couple years when both my kids don't hit the streets for treats. Daughter is 10 this year and maybe her last year. She is going to be a (little too grown up looking) werewolf. Son is 8 and is going to be a flying skeleton that has about a 5' wingspan - i figure he is going to put someones eye out with his wings. He will be parting the crowds. haha

:trollin: Stuck working on a Saturday morning, so just shooting the breeze. :trollin:

Had lucky timing with the picture - just put out the pumpkins after carving them and the cats were pretty interested.

Yep - but they ALL stay outside now, got sick of changing litter, and the smell. Have had cats in my house almost all my life. Also have the dog inside but was my wife that brought the dogs into our life.

We do like to have at least one or two cats around to keep the rodent population down. However, i'm sure you have heard the saying 'multiply like bunnies'......... the current moma cat that has been sticking around must have some rabbit genetics in her. This is what is left of her 2nd litter of kittens this year and she is about to pop again. :beat-up:

Sniffle, reminded me that I miss our departed snotty loudmouth kitty with the unique name "Blacky".

Would be an even better picture if it wasn't on my cistern/porch with the junk in the background. Maybe the 'hillbillyness' adds to the ambiance. haha! Did not grow the pumpkins, planted 4 hills with pumpkins and all my plants withered and no fruit........... actually somewhat of a pumpkin shortage in the area this year due to the weather. The small local farm we usually get them from had none at all and we ended up paying twice what we normally would for these that came from the chain grocery store.

I love the picture!!! I have 2 cats, but both are indoor cats and one of them is a solid black cat like the pic, there is 1 small speck of white on him, the vet called it a "locket" but he is cool, thinks he is a dog.

Figured you for a cat guy :)
I'm a sucker for cats.

Here's my fav of the 3 here. Pumpkin.
One of two rescued from the waters edge at a common drop spot. I'm guessing they weren't dropped but thrown.

Great photo op. Gotta love them critters. We just lost one of our two cats about 2 weeks ago to old age(17 years). Brought a smile to my face seeing this pic. Thanks for sharing.

Well I guess I have to add a picture too! Dingbat (black) and Morris (orange and white), me and my wife adopted them from the shelter in 2007, Dingbat was a year old and Morris was 7 months. The picture here is them almost waking up, they sleep like this every day, they do have their own nap spots throughout the day but over night they always sleep together.
