Babesiosis or sumptin or another. I've had a bunch of tick bites before and never had a problem. I prolly had 25 or so get on me a couple weeks ago. Most of them were the tiniest ticks I've ever seen. Size of a pin head. I also had a million red bugs. Plus or minus 2. I counted. After about a week I didn't have any energy. Then getting out of bed I felt like I was 90. Stiff and sore for about an hour. Then my joints started swelling and hurting. The joint pain went away after a couple days and then my muscles started getting sore. Felt like I worked out with someone on roids! Finally it hit me... I bet those ticks gave me something. Captain Heath gave me several he remedies to try. None worked! Dunno about that guy.
Needless to say I didn't buy the property we were looking at when I got feasted upon!

I hate seeing ticks on me and this spring was pretty bad. Do believe i hate the chiggers more though....... they just never stop itching! Actually had one get me on the eyelid this spring while i was out picking raspberries. Had one heck of a reaction. A week later, my eye was swelled shut and ended up going to a plastic surgeon to drain it cut out the nastiness. Looked like i got shot in the head when he was done. Most expensive quart of raspberries in history perhaps.
Ticks do worry me with some of the chit they can carry with them. Always watch for a bulls-eye mark when ever you pull one that bit you. If the bulls-eye shows up.... go to the doc! Glad you are on the mend and feeling better.
