Been reading and looking at these things for a couple of months now But for some reason have failed to order the supplies. If they have been discussed on here before I haven't seen it.

From most of the people who have used them they all rave on them. Some fly tying purists refuse to admit they are flies. I am not into that kind of argument. I just care if its legal to use and does it catch fish. I vastly prefer to catch crappies on my jigs. But if they ain't hittin I ain't quitten and will readily try live bait.

I was just curious to see if anybody else on here was interested in them. The good pix of them certainly look intriguing. The bad pix look like something cobbled together with a blunt stone ax. May be I fear I would produce something like the bad ones.

If you haven't seen them yet just google " gummy minnow ". Metz makes the outer shell under the name Sili Skin. And of course the sheets you use inside the concoction to give the minnow color and depth. Another reason I may not of ordered to try them yet. Is that the material is rather expensive.

Maybe somebody elses opinion will get me to get off the fence. What say you ?

When you do the search there's a video of about 12 minutes but I can't view it here at work. I'll have to check it out when I get home

Heres a pic that got me fired up about them in the first place. These are called the minis and are formed on a 6 hook.

I have played with it some. It was very frustrating trying to get it right. I felt it was manipulating a very thick sticky film. I had a very difficult time getting the tails straight.

I have seen those a few times and they do look interesting. The glass minnow look is pretty amazing but i have always wondered how long they would hold up.

Can't be anyone out there that doesn't like Sweedish Fish?!?! :P
