Yesterday, I cut my grass for the first time this year. A little while ago, neighbor is cutting his grass and makes a pass over my side yard to ask if he could borrow my lawn roller to flatten the mole ridges covering his yard. I directed him to the roller location and said anytime. Walked out to get mail and noticed where he had run thru my yard, grass has grown almost 3/4". Needs cut again already. I wish some made a growth retarding hormone for lawns.

Mostly Sunny through Thursday, meaning I gotta cut grass twice this week and start of next week.

I started mowing my yard last week. Got about 3/4 done, and ran out of gas. I was expecting that. Put a little more in the tank, went to start it, and heard a loud PING! Broke the "engine are control cable", that little wire that connects the lever on the on the push handle to the engine, and prevents the engine from cranking unless the lever is depressed.

I'm having a fun time trying to replace that cable. It seems that nobody in my area carries that brand mower (we bought it used), and the one that has all sorts of spare parts laying around wouldn't do a thing until I brought them the engine code/model etc. Sheesh.

I don't cut grass. Gardening is my wife's hobby so it would be wrong of me to 'interfere' with her enjoyment. After all she doesn't fish or tie flies and interfere with my hobby.:D
Makes sense to me.

To bad I live "in town", thus, no livestock. If I was still out in the sticks, I would contemplate getting a couple sheep and a goat for the weeds....
