Got Some Cast Up

Finally got some time to cast up a few jigs with my new stand up mold. Painted a few and I'm staring at them getting ideas of what to tie onto them. I'm thinking that sometimes I could just use a grub or swim type bait but was thinking of a leech using rabbit or maybe some sort of egg stealing fish pattern. Hoping to target wally when they are on the bottom but it will also be interesting to see how they swim while getting down there. I chose the vertical hook eye mold because the horizontal one just looked like it could be trouble in the rocks getting snagged and cutting the line. My wife can get snagged on a clean concrete floor so this will be an adventure to see how it works. These are 1/4 & 3/8 oz,  L-R, Junebug, Chart, Flo Yellow, Homemade craw/brn that's less red than pic, Black/gold gitter, Black and Flo Orange. I still need to get some Clear for the ones I sprinkle glitter on. Any comments/ideas good or bad gladly accepted.

I bet a big fat black zonker out the back would work well for a leech look. If there is current in the water, they could probably sit still on the bottom and have enough action to catch fish if they swim past. Lots of people i know are die hard chartreuse users when it comes to walleye fishing...... my go to color is still black though.

One thing that works on that jig is to tie on and wrap with a cross cut rabbit strip next to the head. Leave enough room behind this for a plastic trailer. I like to use a four inch paddletail worm, but any plastic will work!

I was thinking of a cut down soft plastic craw for the ones that I painted. This is a 4" craw which may be to large for all but Bass fishing but there are plenty of smaller craw options out there. Another option is to do the same with a curly tail grub.
For tying these heads I have an idea to remove the most of the lead collar, tie in two splayed hackle feathers and then either palmer hackle or chenille to the head. I like the idea of removing most of the lead collar because in my testing with the head they are more fall down jigs than stand up. Eliminate the topside weight.
Just a few ideas.
